Financial Data: Chart of accounts, journal entries, bank transactions, receipts, vendor information, and related accounting data you enter into the Service.
Phone Number: Mobile phone number if you opt in to SMS messaging or submit receipts via SMS/MMS.
Usage Data: Log data, IP address (hashed for privacy), browser type, device information, and pages visited.
Receipt Images: Photos and documents uploaded or sent via email/SMS for receipt processing and OCR extraction.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
To process and store your financial data securely.
To send transactional SMS/MMS messages if you have opted in (receipt confirmations, clarification prompts, account notifications).
To perform OCR extraction on uploaded receipts.
To communicate with you about your account or changes to the Service.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

3. SMS/MMS Data and Privacy

If you opt in to SMS messaging through our SMS Consent page, the following applies:

We collect and store your mobile phone number solely for the purpose of sending and receiving SMS/MMS messages related to the Service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS data (phone number, opt-in status, message logs) is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized personnel for operational purposes.
Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
SMS consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Service.
Inbound SMS/MMS messages (such as receipt photos sent to our intake number) are processed for receipt extraction and then stored as part of your account data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal or financial data. We may share information only in these circumstances:

Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, OCR processing), under strict data protection agreements.
Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS).
Financial data is stored in encrypted databases with access controls.
Authentication uses passkey-based credentials (WebAuthn) for enhanced security.
We maintain audit trails for all financial mutations.
IP addresses are hashed before storage where applicable.

6. Data Retention

Financial data is retained in accordance with GAAP-compliant retention requirements.
SMS consent records are retained for the duration of your account plus the legally required retention period.
Account data is securely deleted upon request, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
